General

This 24-Volt DC, 3-way valve is great for many air applications (it also works with Water, Gas, Vacuum, and many low viscosity fluids).

Pictures 2 and 3 above explain how this 3-way valve works. When the valve is energized, the inlet port is connected to the outlet port and the top port (exhaust port) is closed. Once the coil is de-energized, the inlet port closes and the outlet port is allowed to vent to the exhaust port. Although this valve is perfect for use with air actuators (cylinders) which have a spring return, it can be used for many other applications as well.
