Injection-moulded from ABS plastic — the same family of materials used in LEGO bricks. ABS does not warp, holds its shape over time, and bonds reliably with superglue (cyanoacrylate) and two-part epoxy. The textured top surface grips PVA, texture paste, and basing sand without needing to score or rough up the surface first. Takes all spray and brush-on primers cleanly.

Every mould in the OBS range is designed in-house using industry-standard CAD — these are not generic imports. We control the full production chain from design through to quality control. Mould lines are clean and consistent.

The pill shape is not an ellipse — it's a rectangle with semicircular ends, giving a flat centre section and rounded tips. Both outer dimensions match the 70×25mm nominal exactly. The 4mm total height and 1.42mm floor keep the profile slim. 2.6mm of underside clearance fits 3×2mm disc magnets — use two placed towards each end for a balanced hold in transport.

70×25mm pill is a bike and jetbike base specification used in skirmish wargaming systems. The elongated narrow footprint is designed for fast mounted units, hover vehicles, and similar fast-attack models that need a directional base.

Both outer dimensions match the 70×25mm nominal exactly — no undersizing. Correct for organised and competitive play in systems that specify a 70×25mm oblong or pill-shaped base. The pill shape gives a clear front-facing orientation for movement and charge arcs.

Wash before priming — a quick rinse in warm soapy water removes mould release residue. Dry completely before spraying.

Bike and jetbike kits often have a narrow contact patch — sometimes just a single stem or flight stand. Superglue (CA) works for plastic kits. For metal models or resin kits with a single contact point, pin with 0.5–0.8mm brass rod through the stem into the base and reinforce with two-part epoxy for a permanent hold.

2.6mm underside clearance fits 3×2mm disc magnets. Use two placed towards each rounded end for a balanced hold — the narrow width means magnets sit close together along the centre line. CA gel, check polarity before it sets.

At 25mm wide there's limited scenic space — keep it simple. A thin layer of texture paste and static grass works better than bulky terrain that fights the model for attention. The semicircular ends give you natural focal zones: front and rear. Match the basing to the rider's round base if you want a cohesive unit look.
