100×50mm rectangle wargaming bases made from injection-moulded ABS plastic. The largest rectangle in the OBS range — used for the biggest war machines, large chariots, and centrepiece models in mass-battle systems that use rectangular bases. 50 cm² of surface area for full scenic treatment. Internally reinforced for rigidity under heavy kits. Black, ready to prime and texture.

🔧 Material & Build

Injection-moulded from ABS plastic — the same family of materials used in LEGO bricks. ABS does not warp, holds its shape over time, and bonds reliably with superglue (cyanoacrylate) and two-part epoxy. The textured top surface grips PVA, texture paste, and basing sand without needing to score or rough up the surface first. Takes all spray and brush-on primers cleanly.

Every mould in the OBS range is designed in-house using industry-standard CAD — these are not generic imports. We control the full production chain from design through to quality control. Mould lines are clean and consistent.

At 100×50mm this is the largest rectangle in the OBS range. The 5mm total height and internal grid of reinforcement ribs keep the base rigid and flat under the heaviest war machine kits — no flex, no bow. The deep underside cavity accommodates standard disc magnets comfortably. Use four or more in a square or line pattern for a balanced, secure hold in transport. Be aware of rib positions when placing magnets — seat them between ribs for a flush fit.

PREP

Wash before priming — a quick rinse in warm soapy water removes mould release residue. Let it dry completely flat before spraying.

PINNING HEAVY KITS

At 100×50mm you're mounting the heaviest kits in the army — large war machines, steam tanks, multi-crew artillery. Pin every contact point with 1mm+ brass rod and two-part epoxy — CA alone won't hold long-term at this weight class. For kits with small contact points, build structural scenic elements and pin through those as hidden supports.

SCENIC BASING

50 cm² of playing surface — treat it like a diorama. Plan the composition before committing: mock up the model, sketch terrain placement, consider how the base sits in formation alongside smaller ranked units. Build elevation with cork and bark, add environmental detail that tells a story. Keep the bevel edge clean for formation alignment.

MAGNETS
