Printed for t cadell and w davies in the strand, dated 1801. Super quality full leather cover, with title and date on spine, book measures approx 22 x 14 x 3.5cm. Beautiful marbling to paper edges and end papers. Also on the pastedown is a stunning old bookplate for 'SIR JOHN FRANCIS DAVIS BARONET', a small small old booksellers sticker below that for Chaundy in Oxford, so really nice to know who owned it originally. There is general wear rubbing to the edges of the cover, but particularly the spine, which is splitting to the front cover, but certainly not about to come loose soon - just a bit of a wobble to it. Otherwise the binding is as new! Super quality thick parchment paper so not flaking or overly delicate. Some small patches of ageing and browning to the pages.
