Our upgraded LED sidelight bulb for the W5W (501) wedge-base fitting on the Ford Transit Mk7 2006-2012 listed in the compatibility table above. Each bulb packs 57 SMD LED chips instead of our standard single-chip design, for a noticeably brighter, more even 6000K cold white glow — visible day and night, not just at dusk. Still 12V, plug and play, no cutting, wiring or coding, with a built-in CAN-bus resistor to keep the dashboard clear on the vast majority of vehicles.

CANbus and Dashboard Warnings

These bulbs have a built-in resistor and fit without an error on the large majority of vehicles. Some cars watch their bulbs more closely than others. On those you may still see a bulb warning on the dash, or the light may flicker or switch itself off. Audi, BMW, Mercedes, newer VW group and newer Vauxhall models are the most likely. If that happens it is your car's monitoring system talking, not a fault with the bulbs, and a load resistor or a quick coding change clears it.
