I do not sell cylinders, I Rebuild Yours. Before buying, please contact me as listed below. I will provide you with an address to send your cylinder(s). I am the only rebuild service that will fully disassemble the cylinder, clean out all the hoses and ports, replace the leaking seals with brand new superior quality ones (pictured above) returning the cylinder to better than new condition. When they arrive, I will contact you, and upon payment, send it back to you usually within one day of receiving. Also, if one fails the other will shortly and I can rebuild both for 400 with free return shipping. Porsche now charges over 4000 for this service. Beware of others who do not show a picture of the cylinder fully dissembled that are offering to repair the cylinders for less as they are not fully dissembling the cylinders and cleaning out the debris from the bad seals (seen in picture) and are simply stretching an o-ring over the ends. They may offer a 10 year warranty but won't be around that long since all the o-rings will fail in a year or less. In addition, if you attempt to install your own rubber o-rings, instead of the correct seals, you 100% will scratch the cylinder shaft when you attempt to remove the internal snap rings especially if you try to drill holes. These cylinders were not meant to be rebuilt due to having two permanent ends, but it's possible as pictured above, just tedious and time consuming, but definitely worth it considering the price of new ones. I've been rebuilding these cylinders for the past 20 years and have yet to have one fail, so having someone else repair for less is a bad risk for such an expensive vehicle. Your repaired cylinder comes with a three year warranty not to leak. When sending please be careful not to kink the hoses or scratch the cylinder shaft and wrap each one separately. Please call or text 7two7-6nine2-4five05 for more details and to receive the mailing address.
Removal Instructions:
It takes about thirty minutes to remove your cylinder and I also have a video on You Tube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd-GmefOg7A&t=13s. First press the open button until the back hatch fully opens and the front latch releases(never manually open the back hatch). 2) Remove the two wire cables left and right by grasping the bottoms and they will pop off of the round metal ball. 3) fold the top up past the 90 degree mark so it stays out of your way. 4) remove 1/4" plastic retainers holding grey cardboard liner and remove the liner. 5) unplug the wires to the back hatch motor and remove two 10mm nuts and move motor out of your way towards the rear of your vehicle and hold position with string or cord to the rear latch. 6) A ratcheting 13mm box wrench works best to remove nuts on ether end of leaking cylinder (determined by fluid leaking in front of the back tire) and two clips that attach bar to top and remove cylinder. 7)remove wires to the hydraulic Motor and two 10mm nuts to allow access to hoses. 8)remove hoses being careful to remember the order of and not to lose the copper washers. Reverse Steps to reinstall, but first put the hose ends into the hydraulic fluid and slide the cylinder body up and down several times to displace the air, be careful about the drivers side as it has plastic sensor arm that the cylinder peg must go through then add fluid back to motor, open and close several times and recheck fluid. You can use a flexible end drinking straw or plastic tubing to add more fluid. Contact me for more details or for any other questions.
