WILL IT FIT MY BIKE?
Yes, if your bottom bracket has external cups with a notched ring around the outside — that's every Shimano HollowTech II bottom bracket. Look for 16 or 24 notches on the cup face.

Does not fit:
• Square taper and Octalink cartridge bottom brackets — these need a 20-tooth splined tool
• SRAM GXP bottom brackets
• Pressed-in press-fit bearings with no threaded cup — those need a bearing press or drift, not a spanner
• Cassette lockrings and freewheel bodies — different spline pattern

HOW YOU'LL USE IT
The notched end drops over the external cup and turns it out. The jaw is cut deep enough to sit flat on the notches rather than riding on the tips, which is what rounds a cup on cheaper tools. At 21 cm you have enough leverage for a cup that's been in the frame for five winters, without needing a breaker bar.
Flip the tool over and the reverse end is a HollowTech II preload cap tool. After the bottom bracket goes in and the crank is through, this is what you use to take up the preload before you tighten the pinch bolts. It's also the end you back the cap off with when you're pulling a HollowTech II crank.
The notched end doubles as a Centre Lock lockring wrench, so rotor changes don't need a second tool.
