This is a (set of 6) high quality silicone bronze manganese intake or Exhaust valve guides for your BMW Bavaria, 2800, 3.0cs. 5,6,7 series with M30 engine 68-89 . Since both intake and exhaust guides are the same for this engine, order 2 sets if your goal is to replace all guides. These guides are standard outside diameter and standard inside diameter. These are the same performance valve guides that our service shop has used since the early 80's for our "in house" engine building program. These valve guides exceed BMW factory specs in all aspects. If you are doing a simple valve job, or building a performance head these are the valve guides you will want to install. Set includes set of 6 valve guides. late style valve seals required, 11 34 9 059 169. 

Note: All M30 engines 69-78 were fitted with early style guides from the factory, without the stepped seal flange. If the guides in your cylinder head have previously been upgraded to the stepped seal design as pictured. The late style 79-86 valve seals will be required BMW item number 11 34 9 059 169 Using these later style stepped guides allows for the use of the later high temperature resistant Viton valve seals.

Installation note:    Valve guides should be installed by a competent machine shop. Valve guides required to be press fit to factory interference specifications, and heads should be heated for expansion. Once installed Inner bore may need to be professionally honed to fit valves. Due to the age of the cylinder head of your vehicle. Confirming cylinder head Valve guide bore size is recommended.
