This is an unusual 8" Square glass vanity tray  It is white on top with a gold design.  It comes with a drinking glass with matching design. 

It all fits into a brass tray that has a knife (or accesory) holder.  The glass holder swivels around. 

I suppose you could use this for hors d'oeuvres, or smoking, or shaving.  I have not seen this before.
