9 RING BROAD SWORD

A wonderful nine ring sword.

Primarily designed for delivering powerful chopping and cutting attacks, this classic style of Chinese ring sword is a well-evolved weapon of war.

The nine included rings offered unique advantages in weapon control, parrying damage to an opponent's sword blade, and as a means of distraction through noise, or visually if colorful tassels are attached to the rings.

Equipped with a folded steel blade, which is a hammer-welded mixture of 1095 & 1060 high carbon steel, manganese spring steel, 1045 soft steel and many more smaller portions of other steels. This mixture is then folded multiple times to remove impurities, creating many hundreds of individual steel layers, finally producing arguably the best sword-making steel available.

The process and technique is renowned for smithing the finest combat sword blades, and certainly forms a very lethal foundational core to this Chinese broadsword.

Included with a practical scabbard, solid brass sword-fittings, and a hardwood, wrapped with quality-cord handle, forming a traditional, practical and effective hand-grip.
