For auction is an antique original double-page colored map of the world, divided between the Eastern and Western Hemispheres, first published in 1879. This map was taken from an atlas dated 1884. Unfortunately, it could not be saved. The map is in excellent condition and would look great with a frame and matte. The image size is 16" by 26" and the colors are as vibrant as the day it was printed.The map shows country outlines that existed when it was first published. It also shows the heights of all major mountains in both hemispheres as well as the lengths of all rivers
