This is an interesting antique, framed photo/picture of Mary Baker Eddy founder of Christian Science.

The picture was owned by a family from the UK.

The Kimball studio was in New Hampshire, US.

The photo has the Kimball studio's stamp in the lower, left corner and his signature "Kimball, Concord, NH" in the bottom right.

Entire (framed) picture measurements are: 9" X 13"; the actual photo measures 4 5/8" X 6 5/8".

The Kimball family were prolific photographers at that time & covered a wide range of subjects around the world.

CONDITION: The photo itself is in nice condition though it's a bit light, grainy, and not crystal clear as it was taken from a slight distance & it isn't a studio shot----I guess semi-candid--probably he was in with a crowd of people also.

The FRAME is original and quite WORN! It has NUMEROUS areas where the gesso has chipped off + the embellishments at the top are set in with wire & they are rather loose & fragile & easy to break off!
The back is the original paper with a framing co. sticker at top; someone had written on the back "just a pretty old frame--woman unknown".

This would be a cool addition for a collection of photos from the Kimball studio!
