Screws for metric 6 saddle bridges.

10mm is generally the factory screw length of the majority of bridges with 6 individual saddles. We offer screws in a variety of heights/mixes so it is possible to choose the right set to replace over protruding screws or to raise/lower/maintain the present string height.
To choose the right set it is important to start by measuring the height of your instruments existing screws/saddles to help work out what is needed.

Will these metric screws fit?

*These are unlikely to fit USA made instruments, except where metric parts have been used in manufacture*

Most strat style instruments made outside of the USA (including many Mexican Strat's) have metric screws. Exceptions include Mexican Strat's fitted with USA made Classic 70s Bridges or American Vintage Series bridges, which have imperial/USA screws.

Early indications are the new MIM Player Series Strats may use uncommon fine threaded (UNF) USA screws, as used on US Standard Strat's from 2008 onwards.

Metric screws have a less course thread than most USA screws and have a very slightly larger diameter. Accurate measurement of the total length of a screw is often the best way to tell the thread type, if a direct comparison is not possible:

Metric screws should measure a number of whole millimetres in length - Typically 10mm, while USA screws will typically measure 9.5mm.
Differences are more difficult to spot between shorter metric 8mm and USA 5/16"(7.9mm) screws.
