C.G. Conn Raincatcher Sousaphone in Eb. Bell in engraved “MADE BY C.G. CONN Ltd. ELKHART IND. U.S.A.” Below this is engraved “Central H.S.” The serial number is 198700, dating the instrument to 1923. The Sousaphone is silver plated. All slides, valves, and valve caps move smoothly. The instrument does not include case, mouthpiece, or tuning bits. The sousaphone has numerous dents; please see images for condition. The bell is 20 inches in diameter. This is a great playing and sounding instrument.
