It is the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King reference number 5500 stainless steel mens watch with a beautiful original silver dial, a domed polished stainless steel bezel ring, and an upgraded tight genuine Rolex "heavy" Oyster link bracelet. It is a very nice example of this model which has never been abused, and only infrequently worn. This watch is totally genuine Rolex, and totally original. It was recently inspected, refinished and polished. It is running as it should. The case measures 34 mm wide excluding the crown (it's an average to large sized watch for the time period, not oversized like modern watches, most men would call it midsized by today's standards). The winding crown is the original twin lock screw down crown with Rolex coronet. It screws down nice and tight. The coin edges on the case back show no improper tool use. The bracelet on this watch is a "heavy" Oyster link stainless steel bracelet model 78350-19 which is newer than the watch head. It would have originally had a "folded" or "light" Oyster bracelet which was an inferior design. It has a clasp code of VF for 1981.  It has 12 links and it will currently fit up to an 7.25 inch wrist. Additional links are available for $99 each if needed.  The bracelet has 95%+ its functional life left in it. This watch was obviously only worn on special occasions. The crown on the clasp is strong and has not been over polished. The dial is very nice with a couple light marks (see photos). The entire watch is about as good as a vintage wearer gets.

The pictures have been taken from every angle and represent the watch well, in fact they are 3x magnified, the dial is beautiful, and the watch is polished to a perfect shine. Any imperfections you see in the shine are just reflections the camera caught.
