This is a complete VX-2R VHF/UHF set-up, including the transceiver, a much better (ie longer) antenna, two AC power supplies, one car power supply, programming cables and the original box. This is an amazing small unit, but runs limited power. The longer antenna helps a lot. I bought this because it had so many features and was incredibly tiny, but now I'm finding myself on HF more and really don't need this HT.
The receiver is wide-band, so I was able to listen to local police with it until they changed to a digital system. Definitely gets the NOAA stations.
It can be programmed from the front panel, but anyone who has used pretty many any recent HT knows that the programming cable and freeware software makes the job MUCH easier. Initially I had several different programming files for favorite repeaters in areas we frequented, but there are enough memories to just put them all in, then use meaningful names for the display.
It's clean, and was never in any extreme conditions (rain, snow, etc). It might have gone to a few hamfests with me but never out in bad weather.
Note that the long antenna will probably be curled up for shipping and might take on a curl; it will probably spring back to shape once out of the box for a while.
