While digging in the Ashley phosphate beds numerous animals including several species of dinosaurs. In the same phosphate bed a human fossil was pulled from the bluff, it was tossed into the river. Later a human jawbone was also found in and among the dinosaurs. The finders were told this must not go to print and the findings were to be hidden under threat of career retaliation.
