Beautiful French Art Nouveau Silver Cupid Angel AMOR Pin Brooch by F VERNON ! Fully hallmarked F. VERNON for Frederic Vernon ((1858-1912), a famous French sculpture and medalist. On the lower side edge which is approximately a tiny bit over 1.5 mm which it is marked ARGENT which is French for silver, next to a tiny marked image, guaranteeing authenticity. Weighs approximately 10.1 grams. It is approximately 2.72 cm (1 0.5/16 inches) in diameter. The front portrays a bust of a smiling cupid since the angel has arrows and AMOR (LOVE) intwined with a bow on the left side over F. VERNON's mark. The reverse has a beautiful butterfly amongst a field of roses, lovely, no ?! Would make a lovely gift to a love one or a lovely addition to any medallist collection !
