This stamp was printed in 2003, in a very small quantity, its rarity consists in having been issued with perforation 14, instead of the usual at that time in the printing workshops that was 13x13.25.
This same characteristics is observed in two commemorative stamps of 2003 that printed a small quantity too with perforation 14, instead of 13x13.25, these two stamps are Sc # 2312a and 2313a with scott value of $ 350.00 and $150.00 each.
This scarce condition variety of perforation 14 in no glossy paper, exists also for the denominations of : 0.50 mangroves, 5.00 sea turtles , 5.00 reptiles, 6.00 eagles, 7.00 reefs, and 10.50 orchids. The two most scarce of them are: 5.00 sea turtles and 6.00 eagles.
