This unusually detailed map of Marblehead, Massachusetts in 1850, created by H. N. McIntyre, was originally in two dozen small squares, mounted on a heavy muslin fabric to be folded like a modern road map. Each piece was electronically assembled to make the final product. It shows the footprint of most of the structures in Marblehead at the time with the name of the property owner handwritten next to it. It features images of Marblehead landmarks contemporary to the time. This is a unique and fascinating glimpse into 1850 Marblehead. Makes a great gift for anyone who lives or works there.
