The Type A unit is a 12 volt FireWire Charging Unit, it is the original SoundDock that does not charge iPhone 3, 3s, 4 or 4s.
It also supports Bose SoundDock Series 2,10 & Portable (12/5 volt charging units).
Note:
The Adapter will switch off if the Bluetooth Connection and Audio is not present for more than 15 minutes. To restart the Adapter please simply blip the Mains Power Off and On.
Plug & Play:
- Plug Bluetooth Adapter into 30 Pin iPod or iPhone Dock
- Go to Device's Bluetooth settings and set "Discoverable" if required
- Choose "I-Wave" from Bluetooth menu (No Pairing Code Required)
- Wait 5 - 20 Seconds until you hear a confirmation "Beep"
- Play your sounds!
On the Series 1 Type A SoundDock it is normal to hear a slight static noise which will disappear once music begins to play.
