One Pack Heavy Duty Widemouth Mason Jar Feeder and One Pack Drown-Proof Chick Waterer Mason Jar Not Included
You can buy widemouth mason jars in pint, quart, and gallon sizes from most grocery or hardware stores. Glass jars are easier to clean, healthier, more durable, and UV resistant than the plastic jars. The plastic jars degrade in the sun.
These chick feeders and waterers are made here in the United States by a small company that has been in business since 1974 producing this line of feed and water containers for caged animals and poultry. You supply the widemouth jar which you probably already have or can buy almost anywhere. I buy them in 2nd hand stores for $1 or less. Most of these chick feeders and waterers use smallmouth mason jars. I like the widemouth jars because you can get your hand down in them and clean them more thoroughly. This is an excellent and unique design. You simply slide your widemouth mason jar on the chick feeder or waterer which is faster and less trouble than the screw on type. If you are like me anything you can do to save time is worth the investment. If I make an improvement on my farm that saves me 5 minutes a day x 365 days a year = 30.41 hours a year that I can be doing something else. These containers are both boil and freeze resistant for strength and sanitation. We have several more sizes and styles of waterers and feeders available in our eBay store.
This is an excellent product, designed and made here in America. As always whenever possible, I personally and we here at Pinnon Hatch Farms buy and sell American Made.
Useful for: Raising any type of poultry, pheasant, waterfowl, rabbits, quail, chukars, etc.
