This is a brand spanking new Pollak Master Disconnect Switch.  THE ORIGINAL Die Cast Master Disconnect Switch.   Can be used on 6, 12, 24 and 36 volt systems.

This is not the wimpy 85 amp or 125 amp switches that others sell this has a 185 amp constant current capacity with a whopping 1000 amp surge capacity.  These are one of the heaviest duty switches available on the market today.  These retail for as much as $50.00.

Required on all NHRA Modified and Super Stock classes.   Power cut off required per NHRA Rule 8:4.  Also required by other sanctioning bodies.

Better than the Taylor/Vertex Part Number 1032 because it's not a Chinese copy.  It's the original.  Why pay more for less at Jeg's or Summit when you can get a better switch for less here.  And you don't need a 250 amp switch unless your Engine is a Diesel over 700 cubic inches.

The lever is removable so you can make your own  push/pull system if you prefer or if its required.

A little history:

A little history: The Joseph Pollak Corporation was established in 1909 in Boston, MA to supply electrical switches to the fledgling automotive industry. Buy 1930 Pollak was the main supplier of switches to the Ford Motor Company. Since its founding days Pollak has supplied switches to all of the major American automobile and heavy truck manufactures. In 1988 Pollak was acquired by the Stoneridge Company. In 1992 Stoneridge acquired the Transportation Electronics Division of General Instruments located in El Paso, TX and Juarez, Mexico. In 1992 Stoneridge acquired the power door lock actuator business unit from Kelsey-Hayes. In 1998 the Company acquired Hi-Stat Manufacturing Co., Inc. a leading supplier of vehicle sensor and switch products. In 2004 a joint venture was established with the Minda Group based in New Delhi, India one of India's major automotive suppliers where this switch was manufactured until late in 2014. In 2005 the Company established a new subsidiary in Suzhou, China, for the manufacture of sensors, switches, electronic instrumentation and other related electromechanical products for the automotive and commercial vehicle markets. A new state of the art die casting and assembly plant was opened in Taiwan in 2014 where this switch is now being manufactured.


Beware:
There are dealers on Ebay that sell the Chinese made copies of this switch.   Looks exactly the same except it doesn't say Pollak on it.  Hard to tell the difference when you are looking at a stock photo on the Internet.  Some of these dealers sell the Chinese copy for half the price of this switch.  Pollak is the original US manufacturer of this switch.  The new switches do not have the POLLAK casting on the body.  The new switches have the Pollak mark and logo on the black plastic disk on the bottom.  An easy way to see if the seller is from China is to click on the sellers user name.  When the user reference window opens look at the very bottom right hand line and it will tell you where they are located.
