In our shop we teach customers how to use stones in their rotary tools to sharpen chains, we find many customer want to push down on them and break them or ware them out quickly.  This is the case with all the rotary stones.    

Like a file you do NOT push - you use a gentle motion back and forth typically at 30 degrees to the bar and let the stone do the work.  You are rotary filing -NOT GRINDING

Pushing will cause the stones to ware out pre maturely and may cause overheating of the cutters.    We also have a lubricant that improves the performance by reducing how fast the stone cuts.   See listing -  301828091928
