Marblehead Pottery, Marblehead, MA 1904-1936 This wonderful pottery was started as a handicraft program/therapeutic center for the sanitarium that was established in 1904. The pottery’s wares were glazed in soft matte colors on classical shapes. Hand-thrown hanging vase resembles a wall pocket, but this one does not have the flat back. Instead, there are 3 factory-drilled holes for hanging. The matte glazing is is dark tan with speckles of reddish brown. Ribs from the potters wheel are evident inside and the neck has a ruffled appearance, slighted crimped near the holes. In great condition and measures 5" tall x 3 3/4" at its widest. See our other Marblehead listings. We are located in the Westlke area of Los Angeles if anyone is interested in seeing this item in person. TUESDAY-SATURDAY 11am-5:00pm
