We laundered it here: it is clean and odorless. Unfortunately, many of the stains it originally had became fainter, but they remained in the white fabric (the red cotton is not affected). We posted photos of some of the faint stains as examples.

There is one hole with missing material (pics # 8 for location, # 9 for details) and one tiny pinhole impossible to notice in pic # 19, where faint stains are visible.

The red cotton might be Turkey red but we are not 100% certain. The piecing of the 9-patch blocks was done by machine, but the seams of the blocks with the white lens-shaped parts, was done by hand (pics posted).

The quilting was done by hand. 

The batting is polyester, so the quilt was finished in the 80s using an older Curved Nine Patch top.

The blue backing is cotton.
