THREE ALBUMEN PHOTOS OF DOLGELLAU c.1880s
THREE Albumen Photographs taken around Dolgelly (now Dolgellau) in the c.1800s.
As most Albumen photos, the paper is quite thin. There are some light creases on the edges.
DOLGELLAU from the Machynlleth Road.
Has a nice old cottage in the forground and I think the (then new) Workhouse on the right.
The photo is a little overexposed on the top half.
NEAR DOLGELLAU (This looks like the Trawsfynydd Road, opposite Precipice Walk).
There is a little boy sitting on the hill and two more people by a horse and cart on the road.
VALE OF GANLLWYD.
There is a wooden bridge in the middle and a house on the hill to the right.
This must be somewhere in Coed y Brenin.
They each measure 150 x 102 mm (around 6x4 inches).
