Writing in pen on back. Dated 1942

Vintage original Union 76 roadside advertising travel souvenir premium.
Water transfer decal by Angelus Transfers for Anson W. Thompson Company, Los Angeles, CA.

Instructions are on the back in green or blue. Functionality of the decal is unknown due to its age. From my research these were given out at sporting events, premiums at local gas stations, in California sporting events, alumni, etc from the early 1930's thru the early 50's.

Scarce. appx 2.25" x 6"

Has signs of storage wear. May have edge tears, curling, creasing, chipping, age toning and yellowing, decal loss, writing on back or other signs of wear/damage.

Union 76 made these for CA., WA., NV., AZ., ID., OR., UT., Canadian cities, couple from Mexico, CA high school mascots, CA colleges, CA Census Designated Places, CA events, CA cardinal directions for certain cities and regions and maybe more.
