One of a Kind Hand Made Vintage Skating Costume by Mare Talbot's Dress Right brand. 

She was from Southern California and is well known for sewing Michelle Kwan's skating costumes in the 1980's.

Red Velvet Holiday skating dress with "Juliet" or "Renaissance" style "puff and slash" sleeves.  The Dress also has faux fur white  trim and braided silver and black sequin trim. This would have been worn over a basic leotard. It may have been used as part of a Nutcracker production or as a Santa's helper role.

The dress has a back zipper and hook and loop openings at the end of the cuffs.

There is no size label my guess based on the bust and waist would be a junior size XS.

My measurements of the dress lying flat:

* Chest across at underarm seams: 15.5" across = 31" around

* Waist: 12.5" across = 25" around

* Front length from shoulder to end: 28.75"

* Sleeve length from shoulder seam to end of sleeve: 24"

* Back yoke across back between sleeve seams: 13.5"

Overall in pretty good vintage condition. This was definitely worn. It has marker name information inside the back collar. It also has some pilling on the white polyester fabric inside one sleeve primarily and wear to the velvet at approximately where the trim on the sleeves might have rubbed against it.

This would make a great collector's piece if you aren't attempting to wear it.
