Description
FOR SALE is this Royal Worcester (produced in England) porcelain candle snuffer depicting a large charming country woman in traditional dress dated approx 1907.
She wears a white mob cap with bright pink ribbons, a long sleeved blue dress over which is a long white apron with pockets. She is standing with one hand on her hip the other in one of the pockets. Her delicately painted facial features reflect Worcester’s refined early 20th-century modelling. The soft pastel glaze and rounded sculptural form give this piece strong mantel display appeal.
Produced in 1907, this example belongs to Royal Worcester’s celebrated figural snuffer series, combining practical function with decorative character. Early pre-WWI Worcester pieces remain particularly desirable among collectors. The makers stamp is inside.
CONDITION: It is in excellent mint condition
