Class 6 armor plates from "Ballistika" represent high-quality, reliable ceramic armor. Each unit consists of two components: the armor plate itself and a backing pad (spall liner) on the inner side. This design effectively absorbs the kinetic energy of an impact and reduces the force of the blow.

All types of armor plates—ceramic, steel, or polyethylene—have their respective strengths and weaknesses. It is crucial to be aware of these limitations. In the case of ceramic plates, the primary drawback is brittleness. Drops or severe impacts can cause cracks, compromising the plate's ability to withstand ballistic threats. While ceramic plates can sometimes withstand multiple hits, relying on their protective capabilities in such scenarios carries risks.
However, the main advantage of ceramic armor is its exceptional strength and ability to stop armor-piercing rounds—specifically those capable of penetrating other types of armor. Furthermore, ceramic plates are significantly lighter than steel ones, which reduces soldier fatigue and enhances mobility. Other advantages of our armor products include:
They withstand a 7.62×54mm armor-piercing round (7BZ-323 bullet, weight 10.4 g) fired from a distance of 10 meters at a velocity of 860 m/s. Our Level 6 armor plates are "Stand Alone," meaning they do not require auxiliary backing or padding to achieve the stated level of protection.
They feature multi-curve geometry (curved in two planes) for enhanced wearer comfort. They are universal and suitable for use in both front and rear plate carriers.
They come equipped with an EVA foam backing pad that helps reduce back-face deformation.
A protective fabric layer applied to the front and sides shields the plates from minor mechanical damage.
Although silicon carbide offers better resistance to multiple hits than boron carbide, we do not recommend using ceramic armor plates after the initial impact.
