The exterior has an aged silver-tone finish with attractive vintage patina and geometric detailing around the sides. The interior is lined/fitted with wood.

Originally likely intended as a cigarette box, this little box would also make a wonderful trinket box, jewelry box, keepsake box or decorative collectible. The black cat design also gives it great appeal for cat collectors and Halloween decor.

Marked MADE IN JAPAN on the underside along with additional maker/symbol markings. Exact manufacturer and metal composition are unknown.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTE:

The lid has become detached from the hinge and currently lifts completely off the box. The hinge hardware remains present. No repair has been attempted.
