(2)
photos, one with a detailed signpost, the other a view of
military vehicles and personnel. Based on the content of the signboard this is
likely at McPheeters Barracks in Bad Hersfeld, Germany. This was the
Headquarters of the 24th Constabulary Squadron. S-2 (Intelligence) and S-3
(Operations and Training) were sections within that HQ.

(2)
photos, Army personnel, drinking beer at a table. The beer bottle
appear to have German labels. Several of the soldiers clearly
have the U.S. Constabulary
shoulder patch on their uniforms (a golden-yellow circle
with a blue border, a blue letter "C" in the center, and a diagonal
red lightning bolt). The U.S. Constabulary
was a military police and border patrol force that maintained law and order in
occupied Germany and Austria following World War II (1946–1952). The unit was stationed at McPheeters Barracks in Bad
Hersfeld, Germany.

A military
person on top of a tank (?) working on an artillery barrel. He wears a fur trimmed hat. There some
markings on the bottom portion oof the machinery, but I can’t establish their
meaning.

(3)

mount heavy artillery. Two of the photos
have “ · 58 ”
in the top border.
