This is a vintage French metal music box statue depicting Our Lady of Lourdes appearing to Saint Bernadette in the grotto. The upper arch features the French inscription "JE SUIS L'IMMACULEE CONCEPTION" ("I am the Immaculate Conception"), and the base is stamped with "LOURDES".

The underside houses a working Sankyo wind-up musical mechanism that plays "La Grotte de Lourdes" (The Lourdes Hymn / Ave Maria of Lourdes).
