Original 1953 Ford Motor Company X 100 experimental concept car brochure featuring Ford’s futuristic “Laboratory on Wheels.”

The X 100 was a fully operational experimental automobile created during Ford’s 50th anniversary year and used to showcase and test technology envisioned for the future. This brochure details many of its remarkable features including the 300 HP engine, retractable transparent roof panel, rain activated roof and windows, electrically operated gear selector, built in electric jacks, power hood and rear deck lid, seat warmers, radio telephone and numerous other experimental features.

The front is stamped Ohio Motors, Inc., 137 N. High St., Columbus 1, Ohio, adding some great original dealership and Columbus history to this example.

Original brochure shows age and storage wear including staining, spotting, discoloration, soiling, fold wear and general handling wear. Please see all photos closely for exact condition.
