Shishbon by Jaafar Salman is an Arabic horror and mystery novel that combines a police investigation with supernatural elements and a disturbing story involving the world of jinn.
The story begins when writer Hamed Jassim mysteriously disappears, leading police officer Nawaf to investigate the case. What he discovers at the writer's home raises more questions than answers, including disturbing clues and evidence surrounding Hamed's disappearance and death.
As Nawaf examines recordings left behind by Hamed, he uncovers the writer's unusual attempts to communicate with a female jinn in preparation for a new novel. The investigation gradually reveals a darker story involving jealousy, envy, betrayal, murder, and supernatural forces.
Combining horror, mystery, crime, police investigation, and supernatural elements, Shishbon is an engaging choice for readers who enjoy Arabic horror novels involving jinn, mysterious deaths, and unsettling investigations.
