| Condition Description | There are scratches and dents throughout the instrument. The binding on the body is lifting. The truss rod is nearing its limit in the forward bow correction direction (tightening), but correction is still possible. There is plenty of room in the reverse bow correction direction. The neck curvature has been adjusted with the truss rod, but when the treble string side was adjusted to be straight, the bass string side has a slight forward bow. This is somewhat compensated for by the setup, but depending on how you play, you may feel some buzzing. The frets show signs of having been leveled, but they still have plenty of height and do not particularly affect playability. There are signs that the wiring has been tampered with, but it does not appear to have been replaced. [Replaced parts]: Knobs [Weight]: around 4.5kg [Country of manufacture]: Taiwan [Handedness]: Right-handed *We have prioritized photographing the most noticeable damage. Due to the limitations on the number of images, please assume that there may be scratches or damage that could not be photographed or fully depicted in the photos. *The information provided reflects the condition of the product as it was inspected before listing. | Additional Info | Manufactured in 1980. We have received a 'GENESIS STANDARD', an Epiphone guitar from the late 1970s with a unique double-cutaway shape that exudes a strong individuality. Of the three models offered at the time, "Standard/Deluxe/Custom," this is a variation that balances cost performance and practicality by keeping the ornamentation simple. Although this series is often introduced on the market as being made in Japan, the majority of those in circulation are actually made in Taiwan, and this particular instrument maintains its original condition, realistically telling the story of the era. Despite being a transitional period when the country of manufacture was shifting, it uses reliable Japanese hardware for core parts such as the bridge and jack. This is the perfect guitar for those seeking a vintage tone that sets it apart from the rest. |
