Antique & Vintage Photographs

This is a silver gelatin photograph that is unmounted and is 5½ x 3½ inches (140x90mm). It is published by Surfleet Transport Photographs and dates to around the late 1960s.

It shows a Southdown single-decker bus parked on a paved surface. The bus displays the route number 86 and the destination blind reads "Borde Hill, Balcombe, Turners Hill". The registration number MUF 639 is visible on the front bumper. Passengers can be seen sitting inside the vehicle. To the left, there is a brick building with a wooden upper section displaying an advertisement for "Snowcem Cement Paint". The number "639" is handwritten in blue ink in the bottom left corner of the front margin.

The reverse has a purple stamp reading "Surfleet Transport Photographs, Lancing, Sussex." Below this, it reads "1104 Surfleet for Southdown." with the number stamped in red ink.
