SCIENTIFICALLY INFORMED DINOSAUR MODEL

A highly detailed reconstruction of Baryonyx walkeri, a spinosaurid theropod dinosaur from the Early Cretaceous of Britain.

Baryonyx is particularly noted for its long, narrow skull and the enormous claw on the first finger of each hand. The holotype specimen was discovered by William Walker and was formally named and described in 1986.

The Haolonggood reconstruction depicts Baryonyx as a relatively lithe theropod. Everything Dinosaur's contemporary coverage notes that the model's interpretation appears to have been influenced by the gracile skeletal reconstruction produced by palaeoartist Dr Scott Hartman.

DESIGNED FOR COLLECTORS

Shan Ting is one of two colour variants of this Haolonggood Baryonyx sculpt. This version has a predominantly blue-grey colour scheme with subtle reddish markings along the upper body. The companion Wei Ding Guo version uses a different colour scheme.

The articulated lower jaw permits different display poses, while the 1:35 scale makes the figure particularly suitable for collectors displaying similarly scaled prehistoric animal models.
