The 7Artisans MAX AF 10mm F2.5 is a full-frame diagonal fisheye lens for L-Mount mirrorless cameras from Leica, Panasonic, and Sigma.
With its ultra-wide 185° diagonal field of view and autofocus capability, this lens offers a fresh and intuitive way to enjoy fisheye photography. It is suitable for action, street photography, architecture, events, travel, model photography, cosplay, and video shooting.
By introducing autofocus to a lens type traditionally associated with manual focusing, the lens allows you to concentrate more on composition, timing, and your subject.
With a minimum focusing distance of just 0.15m, you can move dramatically close to your subject while still capturing the surrounding environment.
Key Features
185° Diagonal Fisheye View
The 185° diagonal field of view captures an exceptionally wide perspective, bringing both the subject and its surroundings into the frame.
The lens creates the strong perspective and immersive spatial expression unique to fisheye photography. It can be used to create dynamic images of sports, action scenes, street photography, architecture, events, travel, models, and cosplay.
Bright f/2.5 Aperture
The bright f/2.5 maximum aperture makes the lens easier to use indoors, at night, and in other low-light conditions.
The 9-blade aperture provides smooth rendering, while stopping down can create distinctive 18-point sunstars around bright light sources.
Compact and Durable Construction
The lens barrel is made from aircraft-grade aluminum, offering high rigidity and durability while maintaining a practical balance of size and weight.
An anti-smudge coating on the front element helps reduce the adhesion of fingerprints and dirt. Rubber sealing around the mount helps reduce the entry of dust and fine particles.
At approximately 509g for the L-Mount version, the lens is suitable for travel, outdoor photography, video shooting, and everyday creative work.
Practical Controls for Stills and Video
The lens features a clicked aperture ring and an AF/MF switch for quick control during shooting.
Fn1 can be assigned to a preferred camera function from the camera body.
Fn2 is dedicated to switching between two saved focus positions. It is not customizable and cannot be assigned another function.
A USB Type-C port is built into the mount. By connecting the lens to a computer with the included USB cable, you can update the lens firmware when new compatibility or performance improvements are released.
From Fisheye to Natural Wide Angle
When developing RAW images in Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom, applying the appropriate correction profile can reduce the characteristic fisheye distortion and create a more natural wide-angle appearance.
This allows you to choose between the dramatic look of a fisheye lens and a more conventional ultra-wide perspective, depending on the subject and intended result.
