A beautiful and authentic Chinese Export porcelain cream jug dating from the Qianlong period (18th century, circa 1740–1770). Decorated in the elegant and highly collectible Encre de Chine style, featuring finely drawn monochrome figures with delicate gilt highlights.

 

The jug has a graceful baluster shape with a curved handle and matching domed cover. The subtle black-and-grey decoration combined with the restrained gilding is characteristic of the refined Encre de Chine wares produced for the European market during the 18th century.
