This is a De Porceleyne Fles Royal Delft tile "City of Delft 700 years" The tile was made from earthenware at the Royal Delft Porceleyne Fles factory in the Netherlands and is decorated using the cloisonne method. Small ridges of clay outline the design and help to separate the colored glazes. As each tile is decorated by hand, every tile is slightly different from others of the same design, depending on how the glazes settle and cool in the firing process.
