Highly decorated boards are sound – but with some splitting at the top of the spine. Nice chocolate brown endpapers front and back.

The book is beautifully illustrated with many engravings by Selous – including full page illustrations.

There are no inscriptions or annotations. There is some minor foxing in places but generally the book is very clean throughout.
