This glass is from the steamships of Wilson Line of Hull - at the lines peak just before WW1 it was the Worlds largest private fleet belonging to Sir Arthur Wilson of Hull - then purchased by Sir John Ellerman to create Ellerman's Wilson line around WW1 -reputedly writing the largest cheque in history up to that point.  As the glass makes no reference to Ellermans it could be over 100 years old. By 1978 Ellerman Wilson Line ceased its sea going fleet - the last ships in a noble line being Spero, Destro and Domino still sailing out of Hull.

A nice chance to grab some great maritime   memorabilia   of an age when the UK had a Merchant fleet to be reckoned with..
