An outstanding vintage gentleman’s carnelian ring, crafted in solid 9 CT gold, featuring a classic rectangular/square-cut carnelian stone in a timeless mid-century design. The ring bears crisp London hallmarks for 1960, confirming its age and provenance. Maker is Fred Manshaw

The carnelian itself is in fantastic condition, with only very minor signs of wear and remarkably few scratches considering its age. The rich, warm colour and substantial rectangular form give the ring a superb 1950s/1960s character, beautifully complemented by the warm tone of the 9 CT gold setting.

A particularly good large gentleman’s size Y, making this unmistakably a substantial men’s ring. It weighs an impressive 6.06 grams.

For a ring over 65 years old, the overall condition is terrific and it has clearly been very well looked after. A highly desirable and stylish example of classic mid-century gentleman’s jewellery, combining a strong vintage aesthetic with an exceptionally wearable design in solid 9 CT gold.
