This edition uses James Amyot’s French translation from the first edition of 1579, translated into English by Thomas North, with the fifteen supplementary lives of the third edition of 1603. Page edges and endpapers browned, otherwise the book is in very good condition in good condition rubbed covers, with damp staining to covers of volumes one to three.
