Questions Barbers Ask

What does TPOB stand for?

The Pissed Off Barber. Barber-founded tool brand — the name is the brand.

Is the Blackout different from the Red Edition?

Colour only. Same Go!TORQ motor, same 8,000 RPM, same graphene blade, same runtime, same body. There is also a Whiteout Edition if you want the third.

Do I need to zero-gap it?

No — TPOB ships the blade pre-gapped from the factory. Genuinely unusual, and the main practical reason to pick it.

Is this the GO Clipper?

No. TPOB makes a GO Clipper as a separate tool. This is the trimmer.

What is graphene coating for?

Heat and friction. A graphene-coated blade runs cooler and drags less through hair than uncoated steel.

How does it compare to the TPOB PLAY?

GO is the entry point of TPOB's trimmer range and the slimmest. PLAY and X Deluxe sit above it.

Why Barbers Love It

An all-black trimmer with a black blade is the one that photographs well on a black mat, and it arrives cutting properly instead of needing an evening with a screwdriver.
