Which depicts Wonder Woman with the likeness of Lynda Carter not just on the cover, but throughout the entire book. The artists did an amazing job, as Lynda Carter is without a doubt portrayed on every page, every frame, and the Lynda Carter likeness as both Wonder Woman and Diana Prince is totally uncanny. I highly recommend you purchase a raw edition of this book so that you can look closely at the content, story, and especially the artwork. With the Nicola Scott Cover, graded CGC 9.8 (Near Mint/Mint) Signature Series, which has been personally autographed by award-winning, legendary actress Lynda Carter during her exclusive signing event with Celebrity Authentics in collaboration with CGC Comics! I have acquired many books from this 4-book limited edition collection for my own collection and for resale, and all books acquired were done so on signature quality alone. I only purchase signed collectibles if I can see the multiple issues of the signed books and pick the ones with the best signature that are grade 10-10+. My reputation as a collector, grader, and seller is based on my ability and capability to pick the best signatures thanks to my contacts. Once I receive my book(s), the first thing I do is check if this is the book(s) I've personally chosen via looking at the multiple pictures of available choices of a batch of signed books, making sure my pictures at the time of choosing the book(s) are showing matching serial numbers. Once the book(s) or any other signed collectibles are matched to the pieces I've carefully and personally chosen, then I make it/them available for sale. I only acquire signatures graded 10-10+ signatures. (I've been collecting, authenticating, and grading signatures for 45-35 years, with a success rate of about 99.2% when especially grading signatures).
First, the signature placement is absolutely perfect; it's right where it should be. Her signature is not tight or cramped; it's actually bigger in size than her other signatures on the same books or any other Wonder Woman comic book covers. The letters show perfect definition and are spaced out perfectly for the size of the signature. Also, something very important about this signature: post-2014, Lynda Carter changed her signature from a multi-level signature to a now one-liner signature. It took her a few years to nail down her new one-liner signatures, the first examples being really rough and rarely/barely reaching grade 9 or above, and the majority of said signatures are mostly signed, all attached together with no breaks in between her first name and last name. But there are rare, and I mean very rare, instances where her one-liner signature has a break between her first and last name, which are the most sought-after signatures. And this is such an example. As for the rest of the signature, the choice of marker was perfect; there are absolutely no pressure points, no smudges, no loss of marker control, and no fading of the ink near the end of the signature. The signature is 100% fluid from start to finish, the mild angle going up from left to right is perfectly aligned, all letters are perfectly proportional, and anyone who knows Lynda Carter's signature would automatically recognize her signature and grade the signature as a perfect hard grade 10 on the spot. But after careful examination and analysis, it clearly grades higher than the usual hard grade 10s.

Signature quality is everything, and it's what makes the difference between a perfect high market value grade 10-10+ autograph on a very select collectible book versus a graded 9 and lower. Money and investment-wise, we're talking a major difference in market value when comparing signature grades starting at 9 and lower compared to 10-10+. I challenge anyone to find and compare the signature on this book, and comparing it to any similar Wonder Woman comic books with Lynda Carter's signature up for sale, find one with an equal or superior signature. Compare signatures side by side and see the difference in quality yourselves. If you want the best, this is it, period!
You can tell that Ms. Carter absolutely/definitely applied herself when signing this comic book. This was no quick pass-the-book-on-the-fly kind of signature. This was signed with absolute control and signed with great care. So, she definitely and carefully applied herself to sign the best signature possible.
You've read me say grade 10+, which is not an officially recognized grade, but I use it to describe certain signatures, because not all grade 10 signatures are created equal. And when you break down this signature by enlarging it and look at each letter one by one and compare it to some of her best hard grade 10 comic book signatures, this signature absolutely stands out, hence why I am very assertive in saying it's definitely a hard graded 10+ signature.

Remember, forgers create their own authentication companies with falsified COAs, LOAs, and now even their own holographic stickers to sell their forgeries at lower prices to entice buyers to purchase their forgeries. So be very careful and do your due diligence when purchasing any signed collectibles.
You might find some collectibles, more specifically photographs with authenticated signatures by one of these five authentication companies, BAS Beckett, JSA, PSA/DNA, SWAU, or ACOA, with their own authentic holographic stickers. But those signed items were mostly signed on the fly, like when celebrities are walking the red carpet, on their way to doing an interview, and/or simply on the street, and so on. Those might be authentic, but the signature grades will definitely be lower due to being signed on the fly and not during an organized signing event. This is a fact, because all the Lynda Carter-signed photographs authenticated by the firms mentioned above were almost all signed on the fly, all of them, and then sent for authentication to one of the firms mentioned above. Because Lynda Carter has been and still is under strict contract with Celebrity Authentics and CGC Comics for signing events and has been for many years now, and her last signing was with Celebrity Authentics in collaboration with CGC Comics. Therefore, the majority of all these autographed photographs would be graded mostly 9 and lower due to being signed on the fly in a rush, and/or, if lucky, by miracle maybe get one graded 9-10 at one of her personal CD and her own authored novel book signings.
This book was signed in a very peaceful and calm controlled environment, where Ms. Carter wasn't in a rush and could apply herself when signing any collectibles from that one-day signing event, hence why her signatures are absolutely grade 9-10 and some extremely elusive grade 10+. And this is a perfect example of what a grade 10+ signature of hers on a comic book looks like. Though I have seen a few examples of signatures graded 8 and lower, bad examples mostly because of bad choice of marker, which usually means that the collectors that had their collectibles signed requested that Lynda Carter sign their collectibles with the collectors' provided marker for a street signing or a signing event and/or signed on the fly with a bad choice of marker. Which is a pity because the items signed were great select collectible pieces. And this book cover is a perfect example of what a hard grade 10+ signature of Lynda Carter looks like on a comic book. I have seen many of her autographs signed on the fly and compared them to her best signatures, and the difference is night and day. So, you can either purchase collectibles signed on the fly for less money or choose great signatures that are either grade 9 or 10, and even a 10+ like the example in this book.
Remember, this was a one-day signing event only, and I'm not talking about signing items for 8 hours straight; therefore, there aren't tons of collectibles signed by her from that one single-day event, which probably took more like 4—maybe 5 hours max of real signing time during that whole day, when accounting for the breaks, having lunch, more breaks, and conversation interruptions. So, how many collectibles can a signee sign in such a restricted time? This is a legendary actress who played an unforgettable iconic role that is recognized all over the world, doing the last-ever signing event of her career. So, the signing was on her timeline/terms, based on her own comfort levels, and when she got tired, she decided when the signing stopped and she was done. Many collectors forget those variables, but they do matter a lot. Most people think that a one-day signing event means the signee (celebrity) signs items for 8 hours straight, which is definitely not the case. There's a reason this signing event was advertised as her last. This was a Celebrity Authentics/CGC Comics exclusive signing on 19/02/2024, and it was advertised clearly that this signing event was her last.

Ok, so I've received a few inquiries about showing why this signature is more than just a grade 10 and why I call such signatures grade 10+. First, very simple: not all grade 10 signatures are created equal, and this signature proves it. Some are what I call soft 10s, some hard 10s, and the ones above both, the elusive 10+. 10 is perfect depending on perspective and experience in breaking down Lynda Carter's signature. Which I have been doing since the late 80s. That's when I started authenticating and grading her signatures. In those days, she would always sign her signature multi-level; you would/could, if you're lucky, get old-style multi-level signatures with special inscriptions. Like "Love Lynda Carter," "Love Always Lynda Carter," and "With Love Lynda Carter." If you can get your hands on a nice select collectible with one of those signatures, they are worth gold. I have about 9 such signatures, and they are very special. Because in today's world of signing events, you have to pay extra hundreds of dollars for each extra word you want with your signatures, called "inscriptions." So, if you can acquire such a photograph of Lynda Carter with such a signature with one of the 3 inscriptions above, grade 9 or 10-10+, I recommend you snag it. (There's still some out there, with asking prices below their true market value.) So, I highly suggest you get someone to grade that signature with the extra inscription, and if it grades 9 or above, don't haggle with the price, because I guarantee you that it's worth exactly or more than the asking price.
But let's break down this specific signature so that you can compare it to other Lynda Carter comic book signatures and understand why this signature completely outclasses all other signatures on similar books.
When you break down a signature old school, there's what we call the majors and the minors.
The majors are the main letters that are 100% always consistent; they are the keys to the authenticity of a signature, no matter who the signee is. That's why I have hundreds of grade 10 signatures from different celebrities to compare with when grading a specific signature.
In the case of a Lynda Carter's signature, no matter on what select collectible the signature is scribed on, the Majors remain absolutely identical, even if the signature is of lesser grade. So, here are the majors, which I wrote in red capital letters, in Lynda Carter's signature, LYnDa CarTer, so the "L," "Y," and "D" in her first name are the majors, and the "C" and "T" of her last name are the majors. In her signature, if the majors don't fit and are inconsistent with other true authenticated signatures of hers, then the signature is a forgery. But remember, also the better they are written, the higher the grade of the signature, which I'll go into more detail further down the breakdown. So, once you've established the majors as authentic, then you proceed to look at the minors, which in the signature of LYnDa CarTer are "n" and "a" in her first name. And "a," "r," and "e." "r" in her last name.
Once each letter has checked out, one by one, then we look at the quality of each letter. When done, then we look at the signature as a whole, looking at how well the letters are attached together and other subtle/small details I go into in the rest of my breakdown, which all together make the biggest difference in the world.
In the case of the signature on this specific comic book cover, both the majors and minors are absolutely above perfect. Grade 10 is perfect; grade 10+ is above perfect; you just can't get better. Everything is there; first let's start with the majors. Look at the double upper and lower loops on the capital "L," the bottom loop on her "Y," and the upper loop on the "D" in her first name. They are all perfectly symmetrical to one another, perfectly proportional, and perfectly aligned, and above all else, they are all 100% totally perfectly fluid, with no breaks, no pressure points, and no smudges, and with perfect attachments to the minors in her first name. Look at the double loops in the "L"; they are both straight, have the exact same angles, are perfectly symmetrical to one another, and are totally fluid, and the bottom loop of the "Y" is exactly the same, with the same proportions as the double loops in the capital "L," with perfect symmetry. Now look at the upper loop of her "D"; it's smaller in proportion but perfectly symmetrical and 100% fluid as it should be. The upper loop of the "D" should always be smaller in size <<(this is important for later) compared to the double upper and lower loops of the "L" and the bottom loop of the "Y." That upper loop of the "D" will matter a lot when we string the entire signature together (you'll understand when we get there).
Ok, now for the "CarTer" majors. What you're looking for is a very fluid capital "C," meaning that if you closed the "C," you'd get a perfect egg-shaped "C," so the "C" is very important; any mistake and it affects the grade. Also, her best "C"s have a small but well-defined upper hook at the top of the "C." What you're looking for in that "C" is total fluidity and perfect proportion when compared to the "major" letters of her first name. With the hook not touching or overlapping the top of her "C," it has to be a clean hook, and it has to tie in perfectly with her minor "a", where the overlapping is minimal, which is what you're looking for. Then we have the next major in her last name, which is her upper loop "T" bar. Now this is where it's important to look at the upper loop of her "D" in her first name; they have to have the same proportions, same symmetry, and same fluidity, almost like a mirror to one another. And like the upper loop in her "D" in her first name, the upper loop of her "T" bar, they have to almost be a mirror of each other. Which we have in this signature. But where the magic really happens is, her horizontal crossed "T" bar is perfect from start to finish, showing an amazing hook, ending in a beautiful dragon's tail, and unconnected to her last minor "r", which is very rare nowadays, because that's how she used to sign her horizontal "T" in all her signatures in her earlier days. That horizontal crossed "T" bar is extremely sought after among collectors who want the best and rarest Lynda Carter signatures. Because it's not tied/attached to her last minor "r", hence why it's so rare and so sought after. So, after looking at all the majors in both her first name and last name, they are above a grade 10 when compared to a hard grade 10 signature! Everything is textbook grade 10+.
Now, let's discuss Lynda Carter's minors; they are always abstract and rarely defined. She usually has her "n's" as just a fluid line with a minor tilt, attached from the "Y" to the "D" in her first name, and not defined at all. Her "a's" are closed, her "e's" are closed, and at times her "r's" are just lines tied together with the "a" and the "e's". This is simply how she signs and always has been. So, having a closed undefined "n" and a closed "a" and a closed "e" is what you're looking for. But don't get me wrong, if there's an open "a" or defined "e" and "r", especially the "r's" that's good. I would say that 95% of her "a's" and "e's" are closed, but in a high-grade signature, her "r's" are well defined, and that raises the grade of the signature, because on most of her lower-grade signatures her "r's" are undefined and angled down at a 45-degree angle. Closed "a's" and closed "e's" are expected, and if they are too well defined, then that signature would be questionable. But the better defined the "r's" are, especially the first "r" being well defined and standing upright, the better to justify grading the signature 10 and/or 10+ if everything else is there too. Which, in this case, everything is there from start to finish.
So, now let's talk about overall quality as a whole. Symmetry, same proportions, fluidity, alignment, and spacing are the things you're looking for. Before about 2014, Lynda Carter would always sign a multi-level signature, with the Lynda above the Carter, aligned in the same direction, and the loops were extremely important because they would overlap one another, and that's why you see many signatures where the loops are unsymmetrical and disproportioned. As a collector, having a bunch of old multi-level Lynda Carter grade 10-10+ signatures is part of my crown collection of her signatures. After 2014, and maybe a little earlier, she started signing one-liners, and it took her a while to get the full control (the hang of it) to get grade 10 signatures. Many of her one-liner signatures from early on are grade 9 and lower. But around the start of the 2020s, she started nailing those one-liner signatures, but with minor flaws, which was hard to get a real grade 10 signature, plus she left no breaks between her first name and last name, so her signatures looked like someone having a unibrow if that makes sense. She still signs that way today. So, what you're looking for to get a grade 10-10+ one-liner signature is a break between the first and last name. Now look at the picture of this book and the signature, and you'll see that there's a break between the two names; that's another score! They keep adding up. Most times you can get a few of the perfect features you're looking for to get a grade 10 signature, but rarely do you get them all in one signature, which is why not all grade 10s are created equal and why this signature is absolutely a grade 10+.
Something else to look at for the specific signatures on comic books, and that's their size.
Many signatures on those comic books were small and short, looking very cramped, and bad signature placement played a role in the quality of the signatures, so it made it hard to scribe down good-looking letters, because the signatures were too tight. This usually happens when the signee is at the end of their rope and wants to get it done and end the signing of these books to move on to something else or end the signing event all together. Those are signatures where the signee does not apply themselves; they just rush the signatures. You definitely lose great fluidity, you lose the angles, you lose the symmetry and proportions, you lose definition, and you lose almost all attributes that would make a signature a grade 10-10+. So, you pretty much lose all the details that make the difference between a grade 10 and a grade 9 or lower. Yes, the prices might be lower by a few hundred bucks, or worse, the same price as a grade 10-10+ signature, but so are the signatures' lower gradings. And I don't know about you, but if I'm going to spend that kind of money on a specific signed select collectible that I intend to keep, I want the best. Hence why all my signed collectibles in my collection have grade 10-10+ signatures. And all my inventory for sale is all handpicked and all grade 10-10+.
Now, I'm not going to give you the links to the same books up for sale on eBay and/or all the other Wonder Woman comic books signed by Lynda Carter, but I highly recommend you look them up and see the differences in signature quality compared to this book up for sale. You'll see with your own eyes all the small details that make the difference between a grade 10+ signature like I have on this book and see all the other signed books, and you'll easily understand why they are all grade 9's or lower. And their pricing is way too high for the quality grades of their signatures. They're asking for either the same price or even a higher price than my selling price for my book with a much higher quality grade signature. Plus, if you're looking for a Lynda Carter-signed CGC 9.8 comic book, why would you choose a different signed book other than her own dedicated Wonder Woman comic book series? The *Wonder Woman '77 Special #1* Lynda Carter comic book should be every collector's first choice for a signed Lynda Carter comic book.
Fun fact, the stock image of the book used to promote the sale of these books was my own book, which was a hard grade 10 book, and you can still see it in their imagery of that book for sale. The serial number of that book is 4411556006. I owned that book because I handpicked and acquired it myself after looking at about 20 different books with different signatures. And I sold that book to one of my private VIP collectors/friends in Australia.
I'm just telling this little anecdote because they usually use one of their best books to represent and promote the sale of these signed books. Now that book was easily a hard grade 10 signature, so compare the signature on that book to the signature on this book, and you'll see why I say that not all grade 10 signatures are created equal and why this book up for sale is a grade 10+ signature. Given all the breakdown I've taken the time to write and show you, you should see and notice all the smallest differences in details as to why the signature on this book up for sale is a grade 10+ and not just a grade 10. I've given you all the tools.
Also, a little challenge for you if you're interested, just to make things fun.
There's a very subtle difference with this signature compared to other present one-liner signatures. There's a specific detail that comes from how Lynda Carter used to sign her autographs pre-2014 and much earlier that was always constant. And that little detail actually raises the bar a lot to make it easy to grade this signature grade 10+. It's a small detail that you rarely see in her post-2014 one-liner signatures. And they are very hard to find. Especially within a signature that has everything else about it absolutely perfect. I'll give you a hint; the answer to this challenge is written within the description and breakdown of this signature. (It's magic!)
Now, I know for a fact that other than the odd examples up for sale from private collectors or retailers that still have some posted on eBay, there are about 12 copies left in inventory for sale for the possible future open market. And I've seen the signatures on those books; the best you can get is grade 9 if that's it. There are no grade 10s left and definitely no grade 10+ left. And the books up for sale on eBay don't measure up to this copy. This is probably your last chance to acquire a Wonder Woman '77 Special #1 CGC 9.8, with a Celebrity Authentics COA card showing Lynda Carter signing the book with a grade 10+ signature. I couldn't find one copy on eBay, and all the other open markets that had signatures fit to grade even a soft 10, so even less a hard 10 to 10+. The highest grade signature I found was a few soft grade 9s and a handful of hard 9s, with maybe one soft grade 10 within the remaining lot. I saw mostly more books with signatures and grades lower than 9. So, I hope this breakdown and grading of an amazing grade 10+ signature was insightful and helpful in your future signed Lynda Carter select collectibles purchases.
