Vintage Mexican double-flower hair barrette featuring individually fitted pieces of colorful abalone shell with white mother-of-pearl centers and a central diamond-shaped mother-of-pearl accent.

The shell displays strong natural iridescence in shades of pink, green, blue, lavender, gold, and silver. The floral front is mounted on a silver-tone metal base with a French-style barrette clasp.

The back is marked ALPACA MEXICO. The metal is being represented as alpaca/nickel-silver base metal and not as sterling silver.
