Vintage unbranded book-style photo locket pendant featuring a raised black classical woman portrait cameo.

The rectangular gold-tone locket has an iridescent white mother-of-pearl panel surrounding the oval cameo, which is bordered by a textured gold-tone frame. The hinged pendant opens like a miniature book to reveal two oval photo or keepsake recesses.

No metal hallmarks or maker’s marks were found. The pendant is non-ferrous, but its exact metal composition is unknown. Areas of finish loss reveal copper- or brass-colored metal underneath. It is being represented only as gold tone, not solid gold, gold filled, or verified gold plated. The white panel appears to be mother of pearl, while the exact material of the black cameo has not been identified.
